| SCRIPT PREVIEW | | Synopsis | No humans allowed in this barnyard bonanza! Children will love pretending to be a hen, owl, dog, goose, fox, chick, and bunny in this play within a play. Silly Goose rallies the animal troops to act out Jesus birth on a lazy spring day. Although the season isn't right, the stable setting is perfect. They divvy up the parts of the angels, shepherds, and wise men, with Hen volunteering to be the Virgin Mary. In the manger, she lays a beautiful egg that represents Jesus. Suddenly, two Roman foxes storm in and smash the egg! But just when it seems their dreams are as shattered as the eggshell, a tiny chick emerges from the nest! A metaphorical play about new life. The costumes may be as simple as decorated visors. Includes an opportunity to share memorized Bible verses - as many as fits your group. | | Related Titles: | | A children's presentation for Easter Artistic Children's Program A children's play for Easter |
