SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
On Lenten Sundays your congregation becomes a talk show audience at Meet the Best, hosted by the engaging Starling Bright. The guest? None other than The Cross (TC) himself. TC shows up every week—he's got a lot to say! He offers an insider's view of the Crucifixion. The weekly summaries included are: 1. TC's cross to bear: he was feared because he represented execution. 2. TC shares a brief history of Roman crucifixion. 3. TC talks about "his book"—the Bible. 4. TC urges the audience to "take up your cross" and continue what Jesus started. 5. Q & A with the studio audience. The small cast size makes these sketches so easy to stage. With TC's lines voiced off-stage while a wooden cross sits onstage and a clipboard for Starling, there is no memorization required.
