Synopsis
There’s gold in them thar hills… along with a passel of problems. Ma and Pa picked out a pretty prospective wife for son Levi, but she’s taken a shinin’ to the Sheriff – and Levi, too, has another love. Then there’s bad blood between the Sheriff and his sister, the saloon’s shenanigans cause a ruckus, and ol’ looney tunes prospector Obadiah claims the town’s rugged frontier land is his. There’s a (very tame) “shootout” at the end (“guns” are fake or even squirt guns). After guests polish off their fried chicken dinners, they try to figger out who’s crooked and who’s not – and guessing who’s the outlaw proves trickier than panning for gold! Old-timey 1800s fun, with a crazy cowboy’s endless one-liners to rope in the guests. The real gold nugget is the conclusion, which reinforces “judge not” and forgiveness amid the entertainment. A family-friendly romp in the wild, wild West.
