SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
“Warm and forgiving satire” best describes the spirit of these humorous sketches by one of America’s best Christian repertory groups. Included are:1. A Typical Drive to Work?—Commuting brings out the dark side of a two-faced Christian. 2. Sneak Previews—Roger Éclair and Gene Smiley ask, “Do the movies we see really affect us?” 3. In the Sanhedrin Waiting Room— Three blind men with newly restored sight argue about whose healing was most miraculous. 4. Not a Leg to Stand On— The nit-picking politics of a committee in Jesus’ day. 5. Stress— Dr. Meedlemyer’s TV commentary is unwittingly enacted in Jim’s stressed-out life. 6. Engaged— It’s tough to “just say no” until the big day. 7. Car Crash— Christian goodwill solves a problem until two couples realize they go to different churches. 8. Jesus Calls— Jesus comes to church to talk to the congregation but is turned away as a nuisance. 9. The Pastoral Selection Committee— Three members argue heatedly as they pray for guidance.
