| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | Costumed characters Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, the innkeeper's wife, two shepherds, and the three wise men share their Christmas stories through brief monologues. One by one they join a tableau that forms around the manger. The "living painting" is lovely, but Gabriel declares the scene to be incomplete without everyone there. The entire congregation joins the scene and lights their candles from a single flame, then forms a circle around the sanctuary. In the glowing candlelight, they close with a hymn. A beautiful visual event for a Christmas Eve service.
