SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
The charm of these five short monologues and sketches (one for each Sunday of Advent plus Christmas Eve) lies in the juxtaposition of the past with the present. The Advent candles' themes of love, hope, joy and peace are carried out in the scripts. Included are: 1. Because I Love You—Joseph fears for his future with Mary. 2. Hope of Hopes—A shepherd sees the hope Christ brings for a homeless man and a harried shopper. 3. What's Missing?—Elizabeth bubbles over with joy at the news of the Messiah and wonders why the congregation doesn't do the same. 4. Peace in the Midst—Mary savors the peace that comes with being obedient to God's call and urges the congregation to find peace in the holiday chaos. 5. And He Shall Be Called—The characters briefly reprise their roles as they light the Christ candle together. Opportunities each Sunday for special music using the provided suggestions or your own preferred songs.
