Recurring character Pirate Roger doesn't preach to the children. Instead, he learns about forgiveness through his interactions with others. Each "visit" brings a new discovery. He’s in search of a treasure, and he’s thinking gold – but it's really Jesus! In the end, he gives the heave-ho to a life of plundering and pillaging as he realizes he's "betrayed the pirate’s code." The lessons are all scripturally based and presented in weekly serialized style. Roger's costume and "piratey" dialogue really resonates with little swabs and big swabs alike!
