The Inniscap family of Ma, Pa, Dick and Jane is all abuzz with pre-Christmas merriment when a hip delivery dude delivers a sad telegram—Santa has been delayed somewhere in Timbuktu. Although the kids are disappointed, they realize that Christmas is really about the birth of the Christ child. Not to worry, though. Pa Inniscap is recruited to be Santa. His initial reluctance gives way to ho-ho-hos as he dons the requisite beard and red suit. Just as Pa asks to see a mirror, the real Santa pops down the chimney. A hilarious mirror pantomime ensues, with great rejoicing when everyone realizes that Santa has saved the day. Features nine original Broadway-style songs. |
