Synopsis
Who can’t relate to kicking back with a latte at the neighborhood coffee shop? That’s where these sketches for use with the Advent wreath are set, featuring recurring characters in each week’s installment. Included are: 1. Hope—Aidan, a runaway teen, shows up in a coffee shop called Holy Grounds where he’s offered more than a cup of joe. 2. Peace—Lauren and Kayla have a falling out over Facebook posts and other grievances. A relationship discussion helps everyone rethink where true peace comes from. 3. Joy—When grumpiness follows everyone into Holy Grounds, Al recalls Job and the mighty sweep of God’s kingdom from Genesis to Revelation to put things into perspective. 4. Love—Runaway Aidan returns to the coffee shop, wistfully wishing everywhere could be like Holy Grounds—then Al reminds him that love is God’s kingdom dream for everyone, everywhere.
