The monologues are structured according to three themes. 1. We Were There—Biblical characters who were affected by Christ's birth, including a Shepherd, Herod and the Innkeeper's Wife. Still We Come—Contemporary characters' responses to Christmas in their lives, including a Businesswoman, a Grandmother and a Teenager. He Will Fulfill—Characters who explore Christmas prophecies present and future, including Isaiah, a Young Man and a Scribe. The monologues are easy to perform, with only minimal rehearsal and few props required. Many favorite carols are dramatized, including "Silent Night," "Angels from the Realms of Glory," "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and many others.
