SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
Too young. Too old. Too many family responsibilities. Excuses, excuses! When a Messenger calls three persons—teenager Grant, working mom Polly and senior citizen Alice—to a life of outreach and service, they think of many reasons why they can't comply. Then the Messenger presents them with an alternative version of the Christmas story. He visits Mary, Joseph, shepherds and wise men who find it inconvenient to carry out their roles in Jesus' birth. Why? "Too young." "Too old." "Too many family responsibilities." Like a mirror, the biblical characters' excuses allow Grant, Polly and Alice to see their own weaknesses. They realize that God could have used others to further his plan, but then his "first choices" would've missed out on a blessing. The real Christmas story is beautiful because so many gave a no-holds-barred yes! to God.
