Six disgruntled church members—Ms. Grump, Mr. Pious, Ms. Blame, Mr. Status Quo, Ms. Worry and Mr. Stingy—convene for a board meeting to discuss the future of their church. They bicker endlessly over everything: the noisy children in the service, the pastor, the lack of church growth. On Pentecost Sunday, the pastor's sermon focuses on the Holy Spirit. He reminds the congregation that the loving, serving nature of Jesus can be ours today with the help of the Spirit. Later, the board members reconvene for another meeting. This time their hearts are renewed, as reflected in their genuine love for their congregation. Even their names have changed for the better, to Ms. Praise, Mr. Worker, Ms. Caring, Mr. Vision, Ms. Joy and Mr. Giving.
