SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
Easter is too joyous to recognize on just one day! These sketches extend the celebration with scripts for Easter Sunday and four weeks afterward. A congregational reading, a monolog and several sketches draw on the key events that immediately followed Jesus’ resurrection. All selections are short enough that they may easily be incorporated into worship services. Included are: 1. A Congregational Affirmation - A Morning of Celebration that may be used for a sunrise service. 2. Women of the Resurrection - Women discuss the disbelief of the disciples at the news of the empty tomb. 3. Emmaus Travelers - Cleopas and Luke encounter a stranger on their trek – or is he? 4. The Doubter - Thomas voices his uncertainty about the authenticity of the risen Christ. 5. Fishers of Men - Peter, Andrew, James and John remember when they were called from the nets to the network of believers.
