SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
Six characters give first-person accounts of how they are affected by the discovery that Jesus' tomb is empty. 1. Caiaphas—He realizes that the empty tomb represents the beginning of trouble, rather than its end. 2. Mary—She marvels at how quickly she forgot the early assurances of her son's divinity. 3. Joseph of Arimathea—He sees the irony of his legalism about proper burial for a man who would rise again. 4. Mary Magdalene—She recognizes that her anxiety overwhelmed her faith in Jesus' promise to return. 5. John—He finally understands that Jesus was the sacrificial lamb who overcame death. 6. Jairus's Daughter—She wonders if her second chance at life means she should live differently. An order of worship with music suggestions is included.
