SCRIPT PREVIEW
Synopsis
Shock. Joy! Fear ... Life after death takes on a literal and immediate tone in this most unexpected homecoming. Jashub, who died a year ago, appears to his family. His still-grieving wife is skeptical. His daughter is cautious. His son surprisingly believes the visitor really is his father! Jashub eagerly shares the joyous experience of heaven and his certainty that his Redeemer lives, savoring the time with his family before he returns to heaven. This intriguing scenario with equal parts love story, humor and gentle theology is based on an often overlooked Scripture about Jesus' resurrection: "The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life" (Matthew 27:52). A most unusual yet biblical approach for sharing the message of new life at Easter.
