| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | Jesse, a young shepherd boy, decides to stay behind when his father, brothers and other shepherds go to Bethlehem to see the Holy Child. He wants to care for a newly born, orphaned lamb. As he plays his flute in his loneliness, he is visited by five angels who convince him to go to Bethlehem with them. At the stable he offers his baby lamb as a gift for the infant Jesus. But Joseph and Mary return it to him saying the lamb needs his care. A better gift, the angels tell him, would be for him to play his flute for Jesus. As he plays, each child in the audience goes to the stage and attaches a paper heart to the manger as a symbol of their dedication to Jesus. |
