As the show opens, children and adult actors assume the image of the painting in the art gallery, then unfreeze to become the citizens of the Global Village. They sing and speak of their dream of shalom for all the world. "Shalom" is everything good—a gift from God so that all may live in harmony and health. The story is told with four small choruses and eight actors in costume. Included are thirteen musical numbers, including "It's a Jungle Out There," "Shalom Is More," "We've Gotta Change Our Style" and "Peace in the Kingdom." |
