| | SCRIPT PREVIEW | | | Synopsis | | In this third installment of Lenten sketches starring the JPS (Jerusalem Postal Service) man, he attempts to deliver a cup chosen by Christ himself. This cup holds love and joy, but also emptiness and pain. As the passion of Christ plays out, the cup seems much too weighty for anyone to receive. The action moves from the Last Supper, where the cup symbolizes the new covenant, through the Garden of Gethsemane (the real Olive Garden) and the trial with gentle humor and poignancy. Who will carry the cup of Christ when Jesus is crucified? Jesus himself doesn’t want it—but then accepts his Father’s will. Through his sacrifice, Jesus offers all his “living water.” May your cup overflow! |
