But the wise pine silences the oak, the walnut and the others by reminding them that they are all special in different ways. Reassured, they agree that he should be the Christmas tree because of his peacemaking ways.They make a pact to shed their leaves so the villagers will pick the pine, the only green tree left in the forest. At the play's conclusion, audience members receive a pine sprig to symbolize that God blesses us all with unique talents. Easily adaptable with flexible casting.
